Sunday Morning Prayer

Sunday Morning Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank You for this beautiful Sunday morning. As the sun rises, I am reminded of Your faithfulness and the new mercies You pour out every day. “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24, KJV) I choose to rejoice in You, for You are my Creator, my Redeemer, and my Sustainer.

Lord, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude. Thank You for the gift of life, for the breath in my lungs, and for the opportunity to worship You today. “Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” (Psalm 150:6, KJV) I lift my voice in praise, for You are worthy of all honor and glory.

As I prepare for this day, I ask for Your presence to go before me. Whether I am gathering with fellow believers, spending time with family, or resting in Your presence, let Your Spirit guide me. “Teach me to do Thy will; for Thou art my God: Thy Spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.” (Psalm 143:10, KJV) Direct my steps and order my day according to Your perfect plan.

Father, I pray for a heart of worship as I enter Your house today. Let my worship be genuine and pleasing to You. “God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24, KJV) Open my eyes to see Your glory, my ears to hear Your Word, and my heart to receive Your truth.

Lord, I surrender my burdens to You this morning. Whatever worries or anxieties I carry, I lay them at Your feet. “Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7, KJV) Fill me with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

I also pray for my church family and spiritual leaders. Bless the pastor as he delivers Your Word, and let the message touch every heart. “So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11, KJV) Let Your Word transform lives today.

Finally, Lord, I ask for Your blessings over this day. May it be a day of rest, renewal, and rejoicing in You. “The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: the Lord make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: the Lord lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26, KJV)

Thank You, Father, for Your love, grace, and faithfulness. I commit this Sunday into Your hands. Let Your will be done in my life, and may Your name be glorified. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray, Amen.
