Prayer for Family Protection

Here is a prayer for family protection with Bible verses.

Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our family into Your loving and mighty hands. You are our refuge and fortress, our ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). We thank You for the gift of family and the love that binds us together. Today, we ask for Your divine protection over each member of our household.

Lord, we declare Your promise over our family: “The Lord will keep you from all harm—He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore” (Psalm 121:7-8). Surround us with Your angels, guarding us in all our ways (Psalm 91:11). Protect us from physical harm, emotional distress, and spiritual attacks. Be a shield around us, O God, and cover us with Your favor as with a shield (Psalm 5:12).

Father, we ask for Your wisdom and guidance in our daily lives. Help us to walk in obedience to Your Word, for “the fear of the Lord leads to life; then one rests content, untouched by trouble” (Proverbs 19:23). Teach us to trust in You with all our hearts and to lean not on our own understanding, acknowledging You in all our ways so that You may direct our paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We pray for unity and peace within our family. May we love one another deeply, for “love covers over a multitude of sins” (1 Peter 4:8). Help us to bear with one another in patience and kindness, reflecting the love of Christ in our relationships. Let no division, strife, or misunderstanding take root among us, but instead, let Your peace rule in our hearts (Colossians 3:15).

Lord, we also pray for spiritual protection. Equip us with the full armor of God so that we can stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. Help us to put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word (Ephesians 6:10-17). May Your Word dwell richly in our hearts, guiding and guarding us in all we do.

Finally, we thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We know that “no weapon formed against us shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17), and we rest in the assurance that You are with us always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). We place our family in Your hands, trusting in Your perfect love and care.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray,
Amen.
